Join us for the 27th annual Write on the Sound (WOTS) conference presented by the City of Edmonds Arts Commission. The historic Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds, WA, a beachfront town on Puget Sound, is an ideal setting for unraveling the mysteries of writing.
This unique and affordable conference hosts a capacity 250 attendees. Attracting presenters and participants from the Northwest, far flung states, and abroad, our Saturday and Sunday workshops offer over thirty sessions on craft, marketing, and specialty writing topics. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, YA, social networking and creativity are only some of the choices.
Highlights include Friday's six pre-conference half day workshops. One-on-one manuscript critique appointments are available throughout the conference with experienced industry professional, Bonnie Rough.
Saturday's Keynote speaker Carla Neggers, a NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, has published over sixty novels in mystery and romantic suspense. She'll share her writer's journey and unravel the mystery of success in her keynote and workshop.
Need a break? Enjoy our on-site bookstore or take an easy walk to nearby restaurants, outdoor market and shopping in the village-like downtown.
Plan on attending Saturday evening's public reception and book signing by conference authors, including keynote speaker Carla Neggers, travel writer and TV personality Rick Steves, and Washington State Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken.
