Before submitting to Untreed Reads
The Market List recommends you verify the market is active and accepting submissions before sending your manuscript via regular mail. You may verify a market status by either visiting their website, calling their listed phone number, or comfirming via regular mail that the market is still active before sending them your work. To be sure your submission is appropriate for this market, we recommend you familiarize yourself with Untreed Reads by reading a sample issue before submitting. |
If you have recently submitted to Untreed Reads or have experience with this market, please submit a comment below. Recent submission response times are always welcome and helpful to other writers.
The material for fiction and nonfiction that this house is looking for is as follows:
Fiction
In addition to full-length works (see Update for 2013 for restrictions), short stories are always welcome. We prefer quality over the size of the work. Have a great 3,000-word idea? Terrific. 25,000? No problem. We will work with you to figure out what best suits everyone’s needs. The only exception to this rule would be that we do not accept flash fiction, which we define as any work that is 1500 words or less.
Nonfiction
Biographies, autobiographies, history, cultural and social works, and almost any business topic…we are open to whatever you may want to present to us including businesses that want white papers in electronic format. Please note that we do not publish titles in the areas of religion, spirituality or New Age.
