My name is Sharon Bazant and I have recently published my second memoir, Geckos & Guns: The Pakistan Years which chronicles the gripping and, at times, heart-stopping adventures of our family's five years in Islamabad Pakistan during the early 1990s. It is a prequel to Nine Years in Bangkok: Lessons Learned which I published in 2019.
I am a retired teacher living in the beautiful Fraser Valley outside of Vancouver, B.C., Canada with my husband Wayne. I have donned many hats in my life, both personal and professional--teacher, writer, researcher, long-term expatriate, and Thai massage practitioner to name a few.
