    Good morning Christopher,

Thank you so much for your guidance on the advertising matter, I'm very grateful. I will create an ad for each of my books some time today.

    Kind regards,

    Andy

    Hi Patricia,

Re to the above, I've waited ample time for my membership to upgrade but it hasn't. The points are definitly spent for the upgrade though. Plus, there's no obvious access to advertising when I sign in.

    Kind regards,

    Andy

    Hi Patricia,

Thank you for the information. I have since spent 1000 points upgrading to 'Contributor', however, my profile hasn't updated to contributor, but the points have been deducted, so I'm not sure what's happened there. I will wait and see if it takes 24 hours or so to update and, failing that, I'll contact you again.

    Kind regards,

    Andy

    Hi Patricia,

Thank you for your post and your reply to my question. I don't know if I'm missing something here but my membership status is regular member, not contributor, and I can't find anywhere on the site that allows me to advertise my books, nor can I see anyone elses books advertised. Can you please clarify how I/we can advertise my/our book/s.

    Kind regards,

    Andy

    Hi Patricia,

Would you be so kind as to provide some guidance on how I can advertise my books for free on the the Market List website please? You mentioned I could do this in your reply to my introduction of myself, but I've been unable to locate the right page to do so. Much appreciated.

    Andy.

    Hi all,
I’ve just recently joined ‘The Market List’ as I’ve just completed ‘The Writers’ Bureau’ – ‘How to Market Your Book’ Course, and noticed the website in the course material.
I’m currently a non-fiction writer, but have the desire to move on to fiction in the not too distant future. My first book ‘The Dark Side – Real Life Accounts of an NHS Paramedic – The Good, the Bad and the Downright Ugly’ – has been a sub-genre bestseller on Kindle, since its release in February 2013. I released the follow up ‘The Traumatic, the Tragic and the Tearful’ – in June 2014. That too has become a sub-genre bestseller. I was invited by ‘The Writers’ Bureau’ to provide a blog for their website; I’ve placed a link below for anyone who wishes to pursue the self-publishing route, to have a read at their leisure, and also links to my Amazon pages.
I hope to provide further posts in...    less

Personal Details

  • About Me I was born in Chester in September 1975 and raised in a town called Runcorn, Cheshire, in the North of England.

After leaving secondary school in 1992, I began my working life. Alongside several unrelated jobs, I chose to spend the majority of my first career in the leisure and fitness industry as a pool lifeguard, fitness instructor and freelance personal fitness trainer.

In September 2000, while working for Royal Mail and as a personal fitness trainer, I decided my ambition to become a paramedic was within my league of possible achievements, and so I gave up self-employment but continued to ‘walk the streets’ as a postman. To aid my career goal, I enrolled on a college course to improve my exam grades.

Following the lengthy and demanding selection process, my application was successful and I commenced employment with the Mersey Regional Ambulance Service in June 2002, which later merged with the Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Lancashire Ambulance Services to form the Northwest Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

I rapidly progressed from the Patient Transport Service (PTS) to qualified Paramedic status via Ambulance Technician training, experience gained in the job and further extended training, where, upon qualifying, I was presented with a ‘Professional Paramedic Development Award’ for most improved candidate.

In 2005 I registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), the national governing body for UK paramedics; this changed its name to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in August 2012.

I spent the earlier part of my career working in the English counties of Cheshire and Merseyside. In 2007, after living ‘up north’ for 32 years, I relocated down south with my wife and two children, residing there until my family and I relocated to North Yorkshire in September 2013. There, I continue my career as an NHS Paramedic with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
